right. after a great weekend and back to uni on monday for classes..and i woke up late this morning! wad a way to start the week..but thanks to dear jolene who woke me up in time. i seldom wake up late for lessons, juz that past 2 nights havent been sleeping well..dreamt of something not good but i cant remember my dream, as usual. hehe..lecture was boring today (but get to see cute guy!hahah..) but tute was not too bad, clarified some questions with the lecturer about activity sheets that we have to do. so yea..oh and we might be having a field trip for this module..hopefully! =)

soo.. let's start with last friday. one of my modules called "Asian-Pacific Cultures in Tourism" had this voluntary work thingy at the Ekka Fair and anyone was welcome to sign up for it.the job requires us to either tend the stall which sells hot food such as dagwood dogs (hotdogs), fish n chips, potato gems, soups, sandwiches n beverages..or we can choose to do some interviewing and surveys..well, participating in this would also help in our CV in future..so yea i signed up for the 2nd job coz the first job was in the morn shift n i had lessons. but when i got there, they needed ppl to help tend the stall so ended up serving customer at the front with 2 other guys,1 sporean guy and another aussie guy, who was the lecturer's son..yea the lecturer roped in his son n daughter to help out at the stall too..so cutee..it was fun serving at the front..mainly aussie customers la..but they were pretty patient waiting for their food coz it took quite a while for the back kitchen to prepare the sandwichesand stuff..n they had to sit out in the cold..that day was one of the coldest mann.. i was standing at the counter n brrr.. the winds kept coming off n on..*shivers*so once in a while i stood where all the hot foods are..nice n warm..but my hand got burnt a lil by the heat element while scooping up the chips..darn! oh wells, my right hand has got 3 burnt marks already, 1 gotten from the stupid oven at home n 2 at the stall..=( see.. this is wad happens when we cook n all..but when the food we cook turns out good, it's worth it la..hahaha..u all muz be thinking im crazy rite..anyways, went to watch some of the shows put up by the Dairy farmers after i got off work..they had some cool car stunts andoh boy..the Human Canon Ball was pretty interesting. an eye opener..hehe..it seemed pretty scary tho..i cant imagine myself climbing into this big canon and getting shot out of it! it was a lady frm the States who did the human canon balls..and her dad n brothers r all human canon balls mann! think her dad won the Guiness World record for the longest distance..well, the highlight of the night was still the fireworks la..it was magnificent! if u were watching it with ur loved one..u could cuddle together in the cold & juz enjoy and taking in the awesome sight..awww.. how sweet would that be right..=)) watching the fireworks reminded me of spore's National Day..where the fireworks display only last for like 5 mins every year!?!? but aust has the money la..hahah..after which, jo, lynn n i went to walk ard the Showbag Pavillion & we bought those devil n angelic hairbands..wahaha.. it's really cute..will post some picts up soon.

saturday. i went to the Ekka again! this time with joan, mich and their ipswich friends.. coz i didnt get to walk ard much on friday as i had work mah..didnt play any games that day but 8 of us played thebumper cars & sat a ride called "Hard rock"..this ride is something like the Viking, where it swings 180 deg or even more and it also rotates at the same time..but it was good!! i think it was a good long7-8 mins i guess.. but after a while, i was tired of screaming already. hahah..had dinner at cyber city at like 10pm??starving mann..but i couldnt finish still..such a big serving.. n moreover it was past the hungryperiod already..haha.. never learn my lesson..coz they always have big servings..n the other time we played "zhong ji mi ma" to finish up the food loh..hehe.
