a series of unfortunate events.

right. back in brisbane last sun morning. reached home. no electricity. it was cut abt a wk ago. wad the..coz we thought we could pay our bills when we r back in aust..then our prepaid cards had not much credits left.. so we had to find a phone booth to call up Energex to reconnect back our electricity..and because it was a sunday and it was after their office hours..it would cost more than on wkdays.. so alright.. we quickly showered in the day where there was still some light.. had dinner outside.. and then went back home to a house in total darkness.. it was bad that day..we were all in low spirits.. juz didnt feel like doing anything.. or rather there wasnt much we could do without light..now we realised the importance of light huh..haha..cant imagine how people in the old days live without electricity..using oil lamps n all..haha.. our laptops still had battery.. so we ended up watching vcd to kill time..

then on monday.. we went through quite a bit of trouble, made several phone calls before we could get our electricity back..sighs.. long story.. anyways, got home..turned on the switch..yes! finally we see light in the house.. haha.. and juz as we thought all was well.. the house phone was spoilt.. people couldnt call in and we couldn call out as well.. it's like after using the phone for 2 mins or so.. it will juz auto switched off by itself.. argh.. tried calling my galfren.. but calling card expired man.. great.. that was juz so great..why muz these things had to happen to us when we r back here??but oh wells.. we've learnt to deal with it.. at least now we know better what to do..
alrite.. came back.. settle those stupid bills.. paid sch fees..signed on for tutorials..done! waiting for sch to start next wk..hehe..

oh yea.. we had our self-prepared dinner today! so proud of our cooking.. hahaha.. well, it's nothing fantastic.. but i would say it's passable.. heh.. jo made the soup which consists of pork ribs, corn, potato and carrots..lynn cooked steamed tofu with mince meat..and i cooked brocolli with mushrooms..not bad la.. quite satisfied with our dinner tonight.. of coz still need more improvements.. but i still cant find the zest to cook..hahah..

mich and joan will be coming down to the city this friday!!! so excited to see them!! =)) anyways, glad that their room mate is quite a nice gal.. not bad la..well, hope they have all settled down quite comfortably by now..
